Congratulations on having chosen the finest committee of ACMUN this year ( hopefully); come prepared and stay sharp for loads of fun and competition. My name is Sameel Ali and it gives me immense pleasure to be serving as the Chair of the United Nations Commission on the Status Of Women this year at ACMUN.
I am currently enrolled in the second year of my A levels at Aitchison College, Lahore, and I have been a diligent participant, an ardent supporter, and a passionate acolyte of Model United Nations since the last 4 years. I have experience both as a delegate and as a Director in MUN Conferences within Pakistan as well as internationally, with experience at conferences such as the Yale-Nus Model United Nations Conference held in Singapore.
I expect a high level of debate and diplomacy at this year's United Nations Commission on the Status of Women at ACMUN, not to sound too banal. This year delegates must bring an extra zest which actualizes itself in their performance within the committee. Delegates are expected to possess and illustrate comprehensive substantive knowledge, have the qualities necessary for the resolution of deadlock and the prowess which establishment of strong diplomatic ties demands. UNCSW this year will be more competitive than ever, so every one is expected to put in at least 100%. This committee does not allow much room for error, so only the best of the best will receive the coveted Best Delegate Award. I wish you all the best of luck!! See you guys in September!
