My name is Ahmad Mujtaba Aamir and I’ll be serving as the Committee Chair for SOCHUM. In the course of the last two years, I’ve had the pleasure of winning and participating in various national and international MUNs including the prestigious HMUN Boston. One thing I’ve learned from my MUN career is that MUNs play havoc with your emotions; bringing joy and sorrows alike. The decision rests upon you whether you let these emotions propel you forward or leave you stranded. As always I have high expectations from SOCHUM at this year’s ACMUN. I’ll be taking into consideration primarily two things: diplomacy and familiarity regarding your topic. When it comes to diplomacy, both of these topics require extensive negotiations to take place, along with ensuring you maintain your carefully crafted stance. At the same time diplomacy cannot he showcased unless you’ve been familiarised with the topic under discussion. Thus, both of these go hand in hand. Lastly, if you have any queries regarding the topic or the committee itself, feel free to message me or any member from the dias.
Best of luck and may the best delegate win!
